I do not make a single site without CSS since i learnt it many many years ago. It keeps all styling elements out of the html by referencing tags with classes or id's. By this i mean you can set the properties of every single image or paragraph etc with one single statement and then apply additional properties to specific images or paragraphs. Properties can be applied to any html tag.

To truly understand the power of CSS, you must learn it! From background colours, hover functions to alignment properties, CSS manages all. There is little more i can say about this underestimated language except to recommend that you do not bypass it and try to understand how to truly apply its features to your websites for a friendlier look and interface.
